Our focus for the start of the year is Statistics, over the next few weeks we will be looking at Probabiliy.
Language the children will be developing are words such as; likely, unlikely, certain, possible, impossible.
Number Knowledge Programme- this will be up and running over the next few weeks- children are likely to repeat some of the cards they had last year. This will allow children to consolidate their number knowledge. It is very important that they have quick recall of the basic facts etc... within 3 seconds.
From week 3 will be focusing on Identifying numbers, knowing the number before or after a given number, the basic facts to 10/20, reading and writing numbers, place value. We will be working on simple addition and subtraction problems.
